We take our feet for granted.

When our feet aren’t causing any issues we forget how lucky we are, however anyone that’s suffered any issues with their feet know how debilitating it can be. That’s why our team at Absolute Foot Care have put together a guide to help reduce any developing problems in the future.
1. Regularly wash your feet
By keeping your feet clean you are less likely to attract fungal infections such as athlete's foot. We recommend washing your feet in warm water and mild soap to help soften and clean the surrounding skin and nails.
2. Trim your toenails
Cutting your toenails correctly and regularly is an important step to keeping your feet healthy. Use proper nail clippers and trim your toenails straight across rather than a curved shape. Curved edges are prone to growing into your skin.
3. Moisturise your feet
The skin on your feet is prone to dryness. After washing your feet make sure to moisturise them. During the winter months you can repeat this activity throughout the day.
4. Wear suitable shoes
A big part of looking after your feet is wearing the right shoes. Most of us are on our feet all day so it’s important to wear comfortable, well fitted shoes. We also recommend wearing well-fitted socks and changing them every day to avoid sweaty feet.

I really enjoyed reading this article — it’s such a simple yet practical reminder of how important proper foot care is. Many people overlook things like trimming toenails correctly or moisturizing regularly until they start feeling discomfort. I especially liked the advice on choosing the right footwear; comfortable, supportive shoes truly make a difference for long-term foot health. It’s great to see modern podiatry services emphasizing prevention as much as treatment, helping people avoid painful conditions before they start. Regular visits for professional chiropody treatments can also ensure that small issues like calluses or fungal infections don’t turn into bigger problems. Excellent tips overall for keeping feet healthy and happy!
